In July, NBCOT announced that providing verification of your national certification to your state board, employers, agencies, or clients is now available at no charge. You can easily order a verification of certification by logging into your MyNBCOT account and clicking on the Services tab. Select the option to send to a state or other entity and follow the steps to check out at no cost.
Orders sent to states are delivered through secure electronic transfer, reducing the time it takes for your state board to receive your verification information.
Confirmation of the verifications you order will be available through the Certification tab in your dashboard.
Individuals also have the option to verify certification through our free online credential verification tool, which provides details on certification, such as the initial date and current status. You can find this tool at www.nbcot.org on the top left-hand side under “Verify an OTR® or COTA®.”
